POV HOME WATCH Senior-Assist Emergency Services are designed to help homeowners who are living alone and suffered a health emergency resulting in hospitalization or temporary relocation.
We offer many solutions to the homeowner, their caregivers with Power of Attorney, or Trust Managers that are concerned for their loved one’s property and personal needs during these challenging times.
We can also assist with personal errands and project coordination which may be needed while staying in a medical facility.
AFTER AN EMERGENCY WE CAN:
- Perform a home review and assess the property’s condition
- Secure the home locking windows and doors
- Set water main valves, electrical breakers and AC controls
- Set the security alarm
- Remove trash, empty refrigerator contents
- Schedule home cleaning
- Bring personal items from the home to the medical facility
IF THE HOME REMAINS UNOCCUPIED WE CAN:
- Perform scheduled property visits to ensure it is secure and maintained until the homeowner returns
- Monitor and report problems such as leaks, mold, infestations
- Provide keyholder services for essential providers that may need to enter the home
- Provide mail forwarding and package handling
- Customize services for any length of time during recovery
- Offer preparations for storms or other unforeseen events that may impact the home
- Provide safety and maintenance reviews
IF THE HOME MUST BE SOLD WE CAN:
- Communicate with remote family members and trust managers
- Perform odd jobs, errands, and light packing
- Be present in the home for deliveries, removals, and repairs
- Monitor the security of the home after showings and other visits
- Coordinate with estate liquidators as an advocate for the homeowner
